A health club where exercisers from all generations can work out together serves as a venue to connect people to each other in the local community. Let's check out this gym in Incheon where local residents can get some training at a low cost.

This is a health club located within a university campus in Incheon. Before they begin their exercises, club members measure their body fat and undergo a physical fitness test. Based on the test results, the club members take part in a customized workout with a trainer.

[Soundbite] "(What are the advantages of getting customized training from a trainer?)"

[Soundbite] Han Sang-hee (Sports Club Member) : "Exercising this way is more effective because I'm being taught the correct positions."

The exercise training fees at this club are much cheaper than at ordinary gyms. That's because the university opened the sports facility free of charge in a bid to boost harmony with the local community.

[Soundbite] Na Soon-bok (Gachon University Employee) : "There is no private health club that has this level of equipment. I think this gym is the most appropriate place for residents to work out easily."

The university's students and local residents who work out at the gym meet once a week to get to know each other better.

[Soundbite] Lee Chang-jae (Gachon University Student) : "I have more fun working out with the residents. We have coffee and rice cakes together, and they treat me with parental warmth."

The health club is emerging as a new channel of communication and unity in the community.
