Students are listening to lectures on monitors in a classroom equipped with high-speed Internet access. This is an online lecture service for students preparing for college entrance exams, and was first introduced by a Korean company four years ago.

[Soundbite] (Online Lecture Student) : "I am having online lectures to review my study overall, although I attend a cram school."

Online lectures can be said to be a culture shock for students from poor families who don't have computers at home.

[Soundbite] (Online Lecture Student) : "The instructors are very good. And I like the two-way, interactive system that immediately answers my questions. Also, the tuition fees are low."

The accumulated number of service subscribers has neared 500,000 for four years. The most popular video lecture has received over 600,000 views.

[Soundbite] Kim Ik-joong(Head of Indian Branch, ETOOS) : "Students are satisfied with teachers who deliver quality lectures and teach well."

Korean companies are also leading the education market for young children. Only two Korean education companies have advanced into India. However, they are attracting attention from the locals by introducing online education services for the first time.
