The late Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee, who passed away on October 25th, was laid to rest today. His family and top Samsung executives attended the funeral ceremony held at Samsung Medical Center at 7:30 AM. His funeral procession passed by his home in Yongsan and his office in Seungjiwon before he was interred in the family burial ground in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do Province. Statistics Korea announced today that 15,033 marriages took place in August, an 18% or 3,303 cases fewer than a year ago. This is a record low number for the month of August since the statistics agency started tracking data in 1981. The agency explained that fewer people in their 30s and the COVID-19 outbreak could be blamed for the decline.
