President Moon Jae-in will hold a summit with U.S. President Donald Trump during his visit Korea early next month. The two leaders are expected to have in-depth talks about the North Korea nuclear issue and the renegotiation of the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement.

The presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae announced that a summit between President Moon Jae-in and his American counterpart Donald Trump is to take place in Seoul early next month. The upcoming bilateral meeting between the two leaders is the third one of its kind, following the ones in Washington DC and New York. President Trump's Asia tour from November 4th to 10th is scheduled to include South Korea, Japan, and China. His visit to South Korea is expected to follow the one to Japan. As tension on the Korean Peninsula continues to mount in the wake of Pyongyang's missile provocations and Washington's remarks about military options, all eyes are on what kind of messages for North Korea will come out of President Trump's first visit to South Korea under the Moon Jae-in administration. The two leaders are also expected to exchange their opinions on the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement due for renegotiation. Immediately after the summit with President Trump, President Moon will embark on an 8-day visit to Indonesia and two other Southeast Asian countries, starting on November 8th. He will stay in Vietnam for two days from the 10th to attend the Asia-Pacifit Economic Cooperation Summit. Then, he will fly to the Phillippines on the 13th to participate in the ASEAN+3 Summit held in Manila and to take South Korea's cooperative partnerships with Southeast Asian countries to the next level.
