A summertime riverside landscape resembles a watercolor painting. A bee flutters in search of honey. In order to capture these fleeting moments, the photographer has had to exert far greater efforts than others. Photographer Lee Chang-hyun has a class one physical disability. The limited use of his arms makes it difficult to use a tripod, so he takes photographs using his stiffened left arm for support. In order to obtain a single satisfying shot, he remains in a fixed posture for as long as dozens of minutes at a time, often resulting in bedsores on his body. However, his passion for photography remains unchanged.

[Soundbite] Lee Chang-hyun(Class 1 Disability) : "It is a channel for people with disabilities, a way to communicate. I can express myself with a photograph, which links me to society."

Lee was paralyzed in a terrible traffic accident 25 years ago when he was 32 years old. He fell deep into despair, even considering ending his own life, but he was able to move parts of his body through laborious rehabilitation treatment. Since then, every day has been a challenge for him.

[Soundbite] Lee Chang-hyun(Class 1 Disability) : "Everything is possible if you have the will to do it. With effort, you can take photographs, go out or do anything."

By donating his talent, Lee hopes to help other people with disabilities rediscover freedom in the world of photography.
