There are just ten days to go before the Rio Olympics begin. Team Korea aims to finish in the top-10 medal count for the fourth consecutive games. We catch up with the team on their way to the games.

Korea's national Olympic team has departed to Rio de Janeiro to reap the results of its hard work over the past four years. The team, which departed on July 27, consists of 86 members, including its chief, Chung Mong-kyu, executives and athletes who will compete in eight events - gymnastics, shooting, women's handball and others. Team Korea, which is to compete in 24 events, aims to win at least ten medals and finish in the top-10. Athletes competing in other events such as archery will also arrive in Rio after July 28 in time for their respective competitions. Team Korea will embark on its medal hunt on August 5, the day before the opening ceremony, with a qualifying game to be played by the national soccer team. The first gold medal is expected to be won at the 10-meter air pistol competition by Jin Jong-oh on August 6, the first day of the Olympic Games. The Rio Olympics will kick off for a 17-day run on August 5 local time.
