Future Commandos

A summer camp for future special forces commandos is being held under the sizzling sun. We’ll bring you some scenes from their grueling training regime in our next report.

[Soundbite] "Trainee No. 111 ready to descend!"

[Pkg]

A male student rappels down from a mock helicopter tower. His actions are awkward, indicating how nervous he is, but once he hits the ground, he's proud to have completed this part of special forces commandos training.

[Soundbite] Lee Jeong-woo(9th Grader) : "I felt like I was a special forces commando. It reminded me of an awesome commando during an air infiltration."

[Soundbite] "Jump!"

A group of female college students aspiring to serve in the military after graduation jumps out of the tower hanging only by a couple of straps.

[Soundbite] Yeo Seon-hwa(Junior, Dept. of Military Force, KTC) : "I was very nervous when I was up there for the first time, but I came here to overcame that fear. Now that I've jumped, it was really exhilarating."

A student pulls with all his might a parachute much bigger than himself. It's not easy to move forward with a wind-blown parachute behind him, but his boy was able to pull off the mission because he had his friends.

[Soundbite] Park Sang-woo(8th Grader, Anyang Buheung Middle School) : "It was hard, but since we were together, we were able to cooperate better."

These aspiring special forces commandos are working hard to reach their dreams in spite of the unbearable heat wave.
