Korean national athletes are doing their best in Rio. On the other side of the globe their fans are cheering them on enthusiastically. Take a look.

It's already past 5 a.m. in Korea. The moment a Korean player scores a goal, loud cheers resonate throughout the nation. As the nation watches the Olympic games, cheers and sighs can be heard here and there.

The moment Team Korea made a cut into the round of eight, Koreans even forgot about the tormenting tropical nights.

Those who missed the live broadcasts watched the games on their gadgets in the morning on their way to work.

[Soundbite] Byun Jun-ho(Incheon Resident) : "There was a soccer game and Team Korea won 1-0. We cheered loudly and shared the joy."

Subway passengers are all riveted to their phones watching the Olympic games. They keep watching how shooter Jin Jong-oh turned the tide at the last minute to win a gold medal.

[Soundbite] Choi Sang-ho(Seoul Resident) : "I watch the games on my smartphone to cheer on the athletes. I was very impressed to see athlete Jin Jong-oh win a gold medal."

Even students, who are busy studying, don't forget to cheer on the national athletes whenever they have time.
