LPGA Hall of Famer Park In-bee is way out ahead on her way to the Olympic gold in women's golf. Here is the latest medal count at the Rio Olympics.

It appears the United States will remain solidly in first place in the total medal count with 35 gold, 33 silver, and 32 bronze medals. The United Kingdom trails far behind in second place. Japan added 2 gold medals in badminton, wrestling to sixth place. France and Italy trail Japan in the rankings. Korea earned bronze medals in women's badminton double and taekwondo to bring the medal count to seven gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals for a standing of 11th place overall. Hungary is right behind Korea, winning a gold medal in the canoe sprint event. Host nation Brazil rose to the 13th spot by adding a gold medal in beach volleyball.
