As we enter the fall, autumn colors are taking over the landscape. Silver grass is in full bloom on the country's southernmost Jeju Island, creating a spectacular scene.

Tourists come here every fall to the see the spectacle of the crater site covered with silver grass. Fall festivals are also opening one after another. In Jeju, the Jeju Olle Walking Festival kicks off Friday. Held since 2010, festival participants walk around the entire island. This year under the theme "Again, from this road", the walking festival offers two courses. The festival will also feature various performances and abundant eateries. Meanwhile at Seoraksan Mountain where the fall foliage is at its peak, the Mount Seorak Fall Foliage Festival opens Friday for three days. The event's theme is titled "Seorak delicacy, satisfying all your senses." Also a Eulalia Festival is under way at Mindungsan Mountain in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province. A festival of eulalia flowers is also ongoing at Mount Myeong-seong-san near Sanjeong Lake. This festival is already in its 20th year. A two week long fall travel period also begins next week. Plenty of fall events in store are expected to further enrich the seasonal beauty.
