Daecheongbong Peak of Seoraksan Mountain shyly peeks out from among the clouds. Hikers are welcomed by the snow that piled up on the mountain last week. The steep Ulsanbawi Rock is a mesmerizing sight, blanketed in white. The snow-covered overpass crossing the Baekdu-daegan Mountain Range lures hikers. After passing wind turbines towering above a snowy grassland, a sheep farm comes into view. Couples roll in the snow and have snowball fights. Children have fun making large snowballs. Skiing resorts are crowded with skiers enjoying the winter. Both seasoned skiers and novices who trip and fall on the slopes make the best out of the coldest season. Outdoor hot spring baths are a perfect way to relieve fatigue in winter. Many people spent their time outdoors last weekend, enjoying the charms of the snowy winter season.
