The special counsel team tasked with investigating the Choi Soon-sil scandal has placed her daughter Chung Yoo-ra on its wanted list. Chung currently resides in Europe. The special counsel is also stepping up the investigation to third-person bribery charges.

The investigation team led by special counsel Park Young-soo has requested an Interpol Red Notice for Choi Soon-sil's daughter Chung Yoo-ra, to bring her back to Korea. The investigators have sought international cooperation after having an arrest warrant issued for Chung, invalidating her passport, suspending her indictment and placing her on the wanted list. If Interpol accepts the request for a red notice, Chung will be placed on the wanted lists of all member-countries. Once she is apprehended, she will be repatriated to Korea.

[Soundbite] Lee Kyu-chul(Investigator, Special Counsel Team) : "We deemed it appropriate to request a red notice based on facts pertinent to the crime stated in the arrest warrant."

The special counsel team is also stepping up its probe into third-party bribery charges against president Park Geun-hye. The investigators have summoned former Health and Welfare Minister Moon Hyung-pyo and former presidential secretary Ahn Chong-bum, and have again summoned former National Pension Service investment officer Hong Wan-sun for questioning. The special counsel team will decide on whether to raid the presidential office after wrapping up its investigations into various other fields, saying that the issue requires prudence.
