Kim Jong-nam Assassinated

In today’s top story, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, has been assassinated at an airport in Malaysia. Local police say they are on the lookout for two female suspects. Here’s more.

Malaysian police say that the North Korean man who died at Kuala Lumpur Airport on February 13th was Kim Jong-nam. They added that the presumed cause of his death was heart attack and that he died on his way to an emergency room.

Sources say Kim Jong-nam collapsed in the shopping concourse of the airport, which he was using to fly to Macau. He had not gone through immigration yet. Police repeatedly claim that they have been pursuing the suspects and that the investigation is still underway.

Kim's body has been reportedly transported to the emergency room of a hospital in Putrajaya, where an autopsy was performed. This was apparently done to confirm his identity and find out the exact cause of his death.
