The harvest of spring greens is in full swing across the nation. In our next story we take you to the scenic Mt. Jirisan in the south.

The harvest of aster leaves, which are grown in an eco-friendly manner in the clean Jirisan mountain valleys, is in full swing.

[Soundbite] Jeon Ok-ja(Aster Farmer) : "The red aster from Cheongam is more flavorful and delicious. This reddish aster leaves are rarely produced in other regions."

This year's price is over eleven U.S. dollars per kilogram, up around 40 percent from last year. Another greenhouse nearby is full of the refreshing green color. They are water parsley, which have been cultivated as a high-profit produce in Hadong-gun County since 2014. After harvest, the organic water parsley is cleaned with natural bedrock water from Jirisan mountain and packaged.

[Soundbite] Lee Jeong-joo(Hadong Cheongam Water Parsley Farming Unit) : "Natural bedrock water is used in the entire process from farming to cleaning. Customers can eat them right away with no need for additional cleaning."

The first water parsley festival will be held this year, attracting tourists on spring outings. With the scents of spring greens, Jirisan mountain is immersed in the atmosphere of the warm season.
