Ousted former president Park Geun-hye was questioned by prosecutors for the fifth time at the Seoul Detention Center on Wednesday, the 13th day of her detainment. Han Woong-jae, the senior prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office who conducted Park's questioning the first three times, returned for the 5th session. Park's attorney Yoo Yeong-ha accompanied the former president. In the investigation's final stages, prosecutors questioned Park on whether fund-raising for the Mir and K-Sports foundations was forced in any way and probed her collusive ties with long time friend Choi Soon-sil. Pundits predict a bribery charge will be applied to Park over the roughly 6 million dollars donated by Lotte Group to the K-Sports foundation and subsequently returned, as well as the 2.6 million dollars SK Group had pledged to donate. An official at the prosecutors office said that questioning of the former president has been concluded and that she's most likely to be indicted on Monday. Until Monday, the prosecution will finalize criminal charges against Park, based on investigation records and evidence. Meanwhile, a court again rejected a warrant request to arrest former senior presidential secretary for civil affairs Woo Byung-woo, raising criticisms that the request was an unfeasible move. Prosecutors plan to charge Woo without detention around the time of Park's indictment.
