This 31-year-old first-floor apartment is decorated like a gallery. Paintings perfectly fitting each space create the atmosphere of a gallery. Kim Min-seok and his wife themselves selected all the wallpaper colors and paintings.

[Soundbite] Kim Min-seok(Husband) : "I like to draw and watch exhibitions at museums. So I selected and arranged paintings fitting the characteristics of each room in order to create the atmosphere of a gallery."

First, let's go to the living room, which is decorated in white. It looks bright and clean overall. The floor and ceiling are also white. The white surroundings are meant to highlight the black-and-white paintings. Frames were hung on rail hooks without the use of nails.

[Soundbite] Kim Min-seok(Husband) : "Nails leave holes in walls. Rail hooks makes it possible for you to hang paintings anywhere you like without leaving marks."

These art lovers also decorated their son's room with paintings. They selected colorful paintings in hopes that their child would grow up with a rich imagination. An airplane-shaped light was installed in the boy's room. The paintings and illumination create an image of a plane flying in a blue sky, demonstrating the dad's love for his son. This room has a hidden, special place. It is a cozy space between windows Decorated with family photos, the space resembles a photo gallery. A small space that easily be overlooked was instead used for a creative purpose. Next, let's move on to the study. While the living room represents the beauty of pure white, the study has a calm, serene atmosphere in grey. Previously, the study looked ordinary with just a desk. But a change of the wall color and the addition of some paintings make it look like a small gallery. Lighting also plays an important role. The adjustable track lighting on the ceiling highlights the paintings. A small shift in the angles creates a completely new atmosphere.
