Authorities have apprehended a man in his 20s who brought narcotics with him to Korea from abroad. Police officers search a man's bag. They find narcotics and several syringes. A police investigation has found that the man, who was looking for a job after finishing his military service, left Korea in September last year after another man whom he met on the Internet promised to help him find a job and even sponsor his overseas trip. The drug dealer completely sponsored the man's five-day trip to Cambodia and Thailand, and asked him to smuggle 100 grams of methamphetamines on his way back to Korea. After traveling abroad free of charge, the young man ended up becoming a drug smuggler. Police have also found 110 people who purchased and used the drugs that the man sold on the Internet. Police have also identified the drug dealer, who currently resides overseas. His passport has been invalidated through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Police are urging the public to avoid people who promise rewards for delivering something on their behalf when arriving from overseas, and refuse to help strangers who ask to carry their luggage when entering the country.
