Korean culture has become a mainstream trend in France. Korean cultural festivals have expanded beyond Paris and spread out to the central and southern French regions, receiving high marks from the locals.

Montpellier in southern France is the city where French people most want to live. Two renowned Korean and French mime artists stage a show. Through sincere bodily gestures, they depict the process in which strangers grasp ways to communicate with each other

[Soundbite] French Spectator : "It is very interesting. This festival is a beautiful venue for sharing love for humanity."

This year's Korean cultural festival, Coree d'ici, the third installation of the event, has opened. 26 events ranging from theater plays, concerts, exhibitions to movies will be presented across Montpellier.

[Soundbite] Nam Young-ho(Art Director, Coree d'ici) : "Korea is not well known here. I worked hard to promote Korea to local people by continuing to make phone calls and holding meetings."

Korean cultural festivals have ventured out of Paris and are gaining popularity as a local event in the central city Nantes and the northern city Honfleur.

[Soundbite] Park Jae-beom(Director of Korean Culture Center in France) : "It is very meaningful that Korean culture is spreading to local areas and that we have an opportunity to completely explore Korea from top to bottom."

Korean culture is expanding its horizons and establishing itself as a mainstream trend in France, a country known for its cultural tastes.
