From the early part of next year, fifth generation mobile communications are expected to be fully commercialized. New services will be introduced in areas of virtual reality, video calls and transfer of large volume data with no delays. Follow us to the Mobile World Congress, the world's largest expo on mobile communications, held in Barcelona, Spain.

This may look like an ordinary video call. But by moving the screen, you can see the surroundings of the person you're talking to. The 360 degree angle all-round video conferencing is made possible through fifth generation or 5G technology.
[Soundbite] Jeon Jin-soo(SKT Network IT Convergence Lab) : "There was a limit to large volume data transfers in LTE but through 5G, using such technology is made possible with the delay in speed is sharply reduced."
Using this 5G-enabled Smart Factory technology unveiled by Nokia, anyone can skillfully control devices wearing an augmented reality headset.

Companies around the world are fiercely competing to be leaders in the 5G environment by showcasing their ability and securing an edge when the technological standard of the next era is selected. This is why China's Huawei has set up the largest booth at the Mobile World Congress to display 5G-related equipment.

Some 23-hundred firms are taking part in this year's event. The biggest buzz was no surprise, 5G. The Korean government and companies also declared at the expo, Seoul will be the world's first to commercialize 5G tech next year. The technology is key to the fourth Industrial Revolution. All eyes are on what changes it will bring about in our daily lives.
