Kim Gu-ra has ranked number one among all Korean entertainers in the number of views for short video clips that circulated online this year. This is according to rankings unveiled by Smart Media Representative, a company that distributes online broadcast contents. The firm announced its "online entertainment award" by tallying the number of views short video clips selected from TV entertainment programs have received. Video clips featuring Kim Gu-ra were played more than 570 million times this year as of December 17th. This shows Kim had a very active year on the small screen. Following the list are Jun Hyun-moo at second place and Kim Seong-joo coming in third for the most watched online content. Both of them surpassed 400 million views. An estimate has been revealed of the earnings due for each member of the K-pop boy band Wanna One. Wanna One came into being through a reality audition program last year, and their activities will be terminated soon. A media outlet on Thursday speculated that Wanna One as a whole earned at least 80 billion won through various activities such as concerts. The calculated revenue per member is predicted to be around one billion won. The report also said that Kang Daniel, the most popular of the eleven member group, will get additional payments originating from his individual activities such as commercial shootings. Since its debut, the boy band enjoyed immense popularity, dubbed the Wanna One syndrome, and their high economic value also drew keen attention. Earlier in March, there was an incident where feelings of discontent over the payment issue expressed by some members were mistakenly aired on media.
