The genre of musical which combines the arts of dancing, singing and acting stands out even in the diverse performances sector. An awards ceremony will take place where audiences can enjoy dozens of different musicals at one sitting in a festive mood. Let's take a look.

​The 3rd Korea Musical Awards slated for January 14th has unveiled the lineup of performers in advance. According to the Korea Musical Theater Association which is hosting the event, this year's ceremony will be especially more splendid to mark the 60 year history of Korean musicals. Performances will cover a snapshot of the past most representative productions as well as a stage jointly prepared by the newest faces in the industry. Also musicals from last year such as "Matilda" and "Elisabeth" which are competing in the awards will also be performed as a way to look back on the 2018 musical calendar. For this year, the musical "The Man Who Laughs" has been nominated in 11 categories and the audience will get to see excerpts from the show and also the actors.
