Subscription services are mostly used for newspapers and magazines. But nowadays subscription services are also provided for many other products, such as flowers, apparel and even passenger cars. Take a look at this new consumption trend.

Fresh flowers that arrived early in the morning are arranged into beautiful bouquets. This company delivers them to customers twice a month, each time different flowers. It's a so-called flower subscription service. The firm has more than 40,000 customers already. Five impeccably ironed shirts are sent to customers' doorsteps every week. Users of this service can also order custom-made clothes so they don't have to buy them.

[Soundbite] Shin Hyo-gil(Subscription Service User) : "The daily cost of ironing services at dry cleaners is quite a burden. But when I use this service, I don't need to pay for laundry and can save time."

Automakers have also jumped on the bandwagon by introducing a service that allows customers to pick from up to four types of rental vehicles, including sedans and SUVs.

[Soundbite] Lee Sang-hee(User of Car Subscription Service) : "It's convenient as the cars are delivered and I can use the service with a phone app."

Thanks to such subscription services, consumers can use products they like without buying them, while service providers can swiftly grasp consumer preferences. The market for the so-called subscription economy is growing fast around the world and is predicted to reach 600 trillion won next year.
