South Korea's Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are to meet in San Francisco on Tuesday local time, while this year's first round of Seoul-Washington talks on defense cost sharing is to take place in Washington.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, around 7.8 million U.S. dollars worth of humanitarian aid has been provided to North Korea in 2020, with South Korea providing the largest portion of 5.7 million dollars.
The Korea Customs Service says 175 people have been caught since last July for smuggling deer placenta stem cell capsules from Singapore and other locations. The smuggled items were confiscated and the perpetrators were levied fines.
KT and Samsung Medical Center say they have jointly developed a 5G corporate network and 5G healthcare services to introduce a 5G smart innovation hospital. The new technologies allow to share high-resolution surgery images in real time and view large medical files on the spot.
