The main opposition People Power Party's leader Kim Chong-in urged some conservative organizations to cancel their plans to hold massive anti-government rallies during the Chuseok holidays. While agreeing on the need to express public dissent to the government's failures, Kim called on the groups to abide by anti-epidemic, social distancing rules to help prevent another wave of the coronavirus during the holiday.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters today issued an apology for the recent mishandling of flu vaccines. The headquarters promised to work to quickly resume free flu shots, which were temporarily halted over a storage mishap in the distribution process. It also pledged to thoroughly verify the quality of flu vaccines and manage the flu season properly amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
