The Korea Development Institute projected today that the Korean economy would decrease -1.1% this year but recover 3.1% next year. The national research institute's economic outlook for this year remained the same as the one made in September, but the growth rate for 2021 has been lowered by 0.4% point due to the prolonged effects of the second COVID-19 surge.
