In our first story, an earthquake was detected in waters east of Ulsan Tuesday night. The quake registered 5.0 in magnitude and was felt across the country. Here’s more.

A surveillance camera pointed at the Ulsan Bridge shakes severely. An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was detected in waters about 52 kilometers east of Ulsan at 8:33 PM Tuesday night. The tremors were felt in some parts of the Seoul metropolitan area and about 8,000 earthquake reports were called in nationwide. Hundreds of residents living in high-rise apartment buildings were scared by the vibration and rushed outside.
[Soundbite] Park Suk-ja(Ulsan Resident) : "I felt a severe vibration. The floor and windows shook. I've never felt anything like it before."
A movie theater in Ulsan stopped showing films as audiences fled the theater.
[Soundbite] Kwon Yeong-jin(Ulsan Resident) : "I realized it was an earthquake when I felt a tremor once again. People were fleeing the theater. We came out, too. I was a bit scared."
The Ministry of Public Safety and Security announced that so far there are no reports of casualties or damaged properties from the earthquake.
