There is a resort area in Korea that many locals say rivals Hawaii or Vietnam's Ha Long Bay. It's a cluster of some 3,000 beautiful islands in the stunning Daedohae Sea. We visit the islands today to get a glimpse of the fun activities available there.

The shape of Gaudo Island resembles an ox head. As you walk along the coastal boardwalk, the blue sea stretches just out of your reach. There are no motorways or automobiles, but that poses no inconvenience at all.

[Soundbite] Hwang In-hye(Visitor) : "The mountains and water are in harmony. It's a place I want to visit again when I have time."

Fishing from the fishermen's wharf set up at one corner of the island takes away all the worldly troubles.

[Soundbite] Kim Yeon-hee(Visitor) : "You can take a walk, do some fishing, and enjoy fresh fish. It's an island that offers a triad of fun."

At Sihodo Island near Goheung visitors can experience the primeval life of the stone age. They chop wood to make fire. And jump into the sea to catch fish. Today's chef is the dad! He carefully dresses the fish and cooks them on the grill to present a mouthwatering dinner.

Pristine islands of the Dadohae Sea are emerging as new vacation spots.
