A secret operation code named "X-ray" is said to have played a big part in the successful Incheon Landing Operation during the Korean War. A new Korean film, "Operation Chromite", is the story of the agents who took part in this clandestine operation.

Some 70-thousand troops took part in the Incheon Landing Operation during the Korean War. A group of 17 secret agents, camouflaged as North Korean forces, first approached the enemy camp with the aim of securing a sea route. It's what's known as Operation X-ray. It began about a month prior to the Incheon Landing Operation aimed at securing a landing area. This hitherto unknown secret operation has been made into a movie. Characters of the movie were based upon survivor testimonies as nearly no records exist due to the clandestine nature of the mission.

[Soundbite] Lee Jeong-jae(Actor) : "Some parts of the movie were clearly based on real life figures so I was all the more careful not to do them any injustice."

The commander of the operation reflects on one agent who helped his colleagues escape and ended his own life.

[Soundbite] Ham Myeong-soo(Commander of Operation X-ray) : "Taking your life is your final service to the country. That thought breaks my heart."

With the probability of success said to be one to 5,000, the Incheon Landing Operation reflects the priceless sacrifice of unknown heroes.
