During the Chuseok thanksgiving holiday, the government will offer various benefits to help boost domestic consumption. Let's take a look at a few of the deals that will be on offer.

Visitors to baseball stadiums will be able to watch games at half price during the Chuseok holiday. Tickets for regular seats which ordinarily cost approximately 9 dollars will be discounted by 50%.Fees for public golf courses will also be lowered. Museums, the four major ancient palaces and Jongmyo will offer free entry, as will natural recreational forests. Sales of 10 to 50 percent will be offered on camp sites at national parks. Discounts of up to 55 percent will be offered on car rentals by major companies and 420 tourism, hands-on experience and lodging facilities across the nation.

[Soundbite] Min Jwa-hong(Ministry of Strategy and Finance) : "Many of these measures are aimed at supporting citizens' enjoyment of various recreational and cultural activities in the nation."

The government will also distribute approximately 1.4 billion U.S. dollars in subsidies aimed at encouraging labor and child-rearing as part of its efforts to provide financial support for the general population.
