President Park Geun-hye has announced her stance yet again. She said her stance reflects her concerns about her country and its people.

[Soundbite] Park Geun-hye(President) : "I will have the National Assembly to decide on my resignation and the shortening of my presidential tenure."

Park said she would step down if the ruling and opposition parties come up with a stable way to transition her powers by minimizing the power vacuum and confusion. In other words, Park wants the National Assembly to devise a detailed road map for her resignation, including the issue of prime minister nomination to fill in the power vacuum, the establishment ofa nonpartisan cabinet and an early presidential election. The presidential office said that the president is ready to step down as soon as the parliament reaches a consensus.

[Soundbite] Park Geun-hye(President) : "I have let go of everything. I just want the Republic of Korea to end this turmoil and return to its normal life as soon as possible."

In her latest statement, Park expressed her apology yet again by saying that it's heartbreaking for her to think that even a hundred apologies would still not be enough to alleviate the disappointment and anger of the Korean public.
