This fusion restaurant located in the ancient heart of Jeonju is packed with regular customers, in contrast with the scene outside. The young chef's secret is to put his heart and soul into each of the meals he serves.

[Soundbite] Kim Yoo-min(Youth Entrepreneur) : "It is very important for me to use better ingredients, despite higher prices. That's a strength."

This cafe and cake store, which opened three months ago, is now attracting crowds of customers. Up to 12 cakes are baked each day. The sole patissier is always busy, but she feels rewarded when she sees her customers enjoying her cakes.

[Soundbite] Kown So-young(Youth Entrepreneur) : "My goal is not to disappoint my customers, if at all possible."

Filled with stores run by young entrepreneurs, this is an old neighborhood behind a historic traditional guest house in Jeonju. Borrowing from the name of Gyeongnidan-gil, a street in Seoul famed as a hot spot for young people, the area has been named "Gaeknidan-gil Street," refering to a guest house frequented by youths. The old town's reputation declined with the city center's transition to a new neighborhood, but it is now regaining its vitality thanks to the business ambitions of young people.

[Soundbite] Shin Dong-joo(Youth Entrepreneur) : "It is cheaper to operate here compared to the new town, so I can invest more in the store to suit my style."

Distinctive, characteristic stores run by young entrepreneurs are breathing new life into the old neighborhood, turning it into a new local tourist destination.
