Unique rock formations soaring high into the sky look like an art painting. The best way to take in the grandeur of Mother Nature here is from a cable car.

[Soundbite] "It's beautiful!"

The scenic mountainous landscape is breathtaking. One has to pass through two sections to reach the mountaintop after disembarking from the cable car. First, cross a suspension bridge hovering 70 meters above a ravine. Then climb 127 stairs on a 50-degree slope to reach the top. On clear days, you can see as far as the Yellow Sea. Gajisan Mountain in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do Province is home to the longest cable car in Korea. It's 1.8 kilometers long. A ten-minute ride in this cable car will reveal the panoramic view of the mountain.

[Soundbite] "I can have a better view from this cable car because it's longer and higher than other cable cars."

After getting of the cable car, take in the marvelous view from an observatory. To see the nigthscape of the winter ocean, take a maritime cable car. The beautiful nightscape of Yeosu will mesmerize you as you cross the 1.5-kilometer-wide sea. It will even make you forget about the freezing weather.

[Soundbite] "The winter ocean looks more exotic and romantic from a cable car."

This time we're going to dive into the sea. Colorful soft coral reefs welcome divers 10 meters below the water surface. White sea pines greet divers, while sea horses, an endangered species, dance around the visitors. This image was filmed by members of Tongyeong City's scuba diving club.

[Soundbite] Kim Dong-hyun(Tongyeong City Government Official) : "While filming the undersea world over the past ten years, I have seen sea horses all over the place. I wanted to show how clean the waters off Tongyeong are."

Flounders peeking out from the mud, a school of mackerel, and the colorful catfish mesmerize the divers.

[Soundbite] Song Moo-won(Head of Tongyeong City Scuba Diving Club) : "I want to film tropical fish and show the public how the sea off Tongyeong has been changing due to higher water temperatures."

The beautiful images of the undersea world of Tongyeong collected over the past ten years have been put on display at an exhibition that will run through the end of this month. Admission is free.
