When former President Park arrived at her private residence, she waved to her supporters and appeared optimistic. After she got out of the car, Park greeted lawmakers who had been waiting for her, and thanked them for their support. She also smiled at the public and had a small talk with the citizens. Park delivered a public address prior to entering her house, but it was conveyed later by Liberty Korea Party lawmaker Min Kyung-wook, because the area near her private residence was too crowded. Park apologized to the nation for failing to finish her term.

[Soundbite] Rep. Min Kyung-wook(Liberty Korea Party/Fmr. Presidential Spokesperson) : "I am sorry I could not finish the mandate given as president."

Park also said that although she accepts the Constitutional Court's decision, she believed that truth would be revealed in the end.

[Soundbite] Rep. Min Kyung-wook(Liberty Korea Party/Fmr. Presidential Spokesperson) : "I take responsibility for the outcome of all this. It will take time, but I believe the truth will be revealed."

Lawmaker Min Kyung-wook quoted Park as saying that she would take responsibility for the scandal, yet he added that Park did not say she accepted the court's accusations against her.
