An elementary school student from a multicultural family dreams of becoming a member of the Korean national football team. He has led other Korean students as team captain to win the title at the recent National Junior Sports Festival. Let's meet Korea's future soccer star, Onyeka Obi John.

This sixth grader definitely stands out among his elementary school classmates. He is Onyeka Obi John, born of a Nigerian father and a Korean mother. His classmates were distant at first, but now they call him "Obi" and get along very well. Obi is currently the school's soccer team captain. Having started soccer at age 6, Obi's main strengths are his flexibility and heading. He led the team to win the titles at five tournaments, including this year's National Junior Sports Festival, and also swept all individual honors.

[Soundbite] Kim Dong-hyeon(Obi's Friend) : "Obi cheers us on and tells us to step up once more to clinch a win."

But he still has to struggle with people's prejudice and jealousy over his exceptional talent.

[Soundbite] Han Seon-hee(Obi's Mother) : "Other teams made fun of his dark skin and cussed at him. He should be good in sports, but become mentally tough above all."

Obi trains hard everyday in order to realize his dream of becoming a member of the Korean national soccer team.

[Soundbite] Onyeka Obi John : "I want to do well without thinking about how other people see me. I really want to score a goal at the World Cup."
