At the top of Mount Hwawang, which is 750 meters above sea level...Fluffy silver grass sways against the wind. Hikers build unforgettable memories of the deepening autumn while walking through a trail lined with glittering silver grass.

[Soundbite] Shin Hyun-cheol(Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do Prov.) : "I feel completely refreshed. The emotions built up from home were eased significantly. It's really great."

Measuring 180,000 square meters, the field of silver grass at Hwawang Mountain is the largest in South Korea. But it was completely burned during an event in 2009. With eight years having passed, the silver grass field has nearly recovered to its original form.

[Soundbite] Chung Hyun-kyung(Daegu Resident) : "I thought that it would be completely barren and desolate, since there had been a fire. But after climbing up, I found that it is splendid."

Roughly 30,000 hikers from across the nation have visited the field since early this month.

[Soundbite] Chang Jeong-pyo(Park Service Official, Changnyeong-gun County Office) : "It is the best when the grass turns silver from purple. Silver grass is the most beautiful now at Mount Hwawang."
