Public interest in the upcoming PyeongChang Winter Olympics has been on the rise lately, as can be seen from various events aimed at promoting the games. We take you to an unusual event that singer Jeon In-kwon put on in anticipation of the winter spectacle.

[Soundbite] "We won this bid after three tries. No one cares more about the Games than us!'

Even the cold weather cannot stop the Korean public from promoting the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. A performance promoting the Olympics resonates at the foot of Dobongsan Mountain on the northernmost tip of Seoul.

[Soundbite] "Rise high, we are the strong children of Korea"

Popular singer Jeon In-kwon earnestly hopes that Korea will be able to create yet another miracle.

[Soundbite] Jeon In-kwon(Singer) : "We stunned the world with our candlelight vigils. And we're going to do it again with the PyeongChang Olympics."

Cho Seung-hwan, who is known for climbing mountains barefoot in the most challenging places of the world, stages a stunning performance by standing on ice barefoot for as long as he can endure.

[Soundbite] "The cold wind is blowing and it's getting dark"

[Soundbite] Cho Seung-hwan("Barefoot Man") : "Korea's fate is at stake with the PyeongChang Olympics. I, Cho Seung-hwan, the "barefoot man," will earnestly cheer on Korea on ice."

The passion conveyed through his feet is strong enough to melt the ice. He goes on to run all the way to Gwanghwamun 25 kilometers away, also barefoot. The festive mood ahead of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics is heating up in Korea.
