The South Korean Paralympic team has returned to their daily lives after achieving their best ever results in the PyeongChang Paralympic Games. The athletes teared up as the Games came to a close in a bittersweet moment.

The Taegeuk warriors have gathered after competing in the ten-day PyeongChang Paralympics. Nordic skier Sin Eui-hyun won South Korea's first ever gold medal at the Winter Paralympics while the ice hockey team took home the bronze. The athletes were happy with Team Korea's best performance ever at the Winter Paralympics.

[Soundbite] Han Min-soo(Ice Hockey Bronze Medalist) : "We cared for one another with patience during training and preparations. So the outcome is even more rewarding."

They also teared up listening to President Moon Jae-in's congratulatory message containing the inspiring stories of individual athletes.

[Soundbite] "The determination of athlete Yu Man-gyun who wanted to give hope to others has made history."

Skier Sin Eui-hyun also shed tears. He is pushing himself even further to compete in handcycling in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

[Soundbite] Sin Eui-hyun(Nordic Skiing Gold Medalist) : "I didn't expect this at all. I want to be an athletes who continues to impress..."

The Korean team's outstanding performance is raising expectations of para sports receiving more investment and public interest.

[Soundbite] Lee Myung-ho(President, Korea Paralympic Committee) : "I believe the Games served to show that para sports can also be fun and exciting."

The Paralympic Games are over but for the athletes, a new race begins for their next challenge and goals.
