The police say they now have audio recordings of the incident between Korean Air executive Cho Hyun-min and an advertising company manager. Cho has been accused of throwing water in the manager’s face in a temper tantrum. Authorities had to raid the company’s office to acquire the recordings because the company wouldn’t give them up, but now that they have them the investigation is expected to gather some steam.

Police say they have found audio files of the now infamous temper tantrum thrown by Korean Air executive Cho Hyun-min. The incident occurred at a meeting with the ad agency that produces advertisements for the airline. The files were found in the mobile phones and notebook computers of the advertisement firm employees. Police first seized the information that the advertisement firm usually recorded during meetings with clients. The employees were initially asked to submit audio files voluntarily, but they refused to do so, which prompted the police to raid their offices. So far, police had to rely mostly on the employees' testimonies, but now the investigation will likely gain speed through the analysis of the audio files. Police have obtained a testimony that in addition to the glass and paper cups that were on the table at the time, Cho Hyun-min also threw a mobile phone on the floor. They have also found surveillance camera footage showing Cho exiting the conference room 15 minutes after the start of the meeting. Cho may face charges of obstruction of business through the abuse of power. Authorities plan to subpoena her as early as next week.
