Actor Jo In-sung has participated in an international charity event along with screenplay writer Noh Hee-kyung and Ven. Beopryun on January 21. The actor visited the Rohingya village in Bangladesh where he distributed food to children and spent time with them at an educational facility operated by the World Food Programme. On January 22, he attended a ceremony for delivering gas burners to the Rohingya refugees. The event was sponsored by the Join Together Society to help solve fuel shortages in the refugee village. Jo In-sung said it was rewarding to see the happy faces of children after the event, and stressed the importance of continuous support. The Join Together Society has produced and provided 100,000 gas burners to help some 500,000 refugees fight malnutrition by cooking food. A commemorative song "My Land" written by rapper BewhY was released. The presidential steering committee for marking the centennial of the March 1st Movement and the establishment of Korea's provisional government announced that the popular rapper wrote the song to bring the Korean people together to celebrate these events together. The song and behind-the-scenes footage will also be released on major streaming sites free of charge. The steering committee said that BewhY's commemorative song sings of our gratitude and pride for the 100-year history but at the same time appeals to the masses with its trendy beat. BewhY was appointed the committee's publicity ambassador late last year and has been appearing at various events since then.
