GOV’T SIGNS DEAL ON COVID-19 VACCINES

The Health Ministry has announced that it signed a deal on the advance purchase of COVID-19 vaccines for ten million people through the COVAX Facility global vaccine distribution project. Vaccines for 34 million more people have been secured through individual negotiations with global pharmaceutical firms. The ministry said the procured amount is enough for 85% of the population and the vaccines will start arriving in phases in February and March.
