Researchers are hard at work developing high-tech military robots that can improve the efficiency of military operations in times of war. Let's take a look.

Donning wearable robots, the soldiers push away the enemy using all kinds of weapons. These movie scenes are gradually becoming a reality. This wearable robot is being developed by the South Korean military. When worn on the shoulders and limbs, it can run at 10 kilometers an hour while carrying equipment of 40 kilograms. The maximum weight it can carry easily reaches 70 kilograms. The military plans to invest 20 billion won in the project by 2020. These wearable robots are expected to help greatly expand the radius of military operations by transporting heavy military gear even in harsh topographical conditions.
[Soundbite] Yoo Jae-kwan(Robot Researcher) : "In the future, military operations will be held on a larger scale with soldiers carrying portable equipment. The use of wearable robots will help to greatly bolster soldiers' capabilities."
Unmanned robots that can remove the enemy's explosives using high-pressure water and drones that can transport freight of up to 20 kilograms are already in use at some military units.
