Reigning rock climbing champion Kim Ja-in is hard at work lately, training eight hours a day. She aims to set a new record at the women's event in the World Cup series, set to be held next month in Chamonix, France, by achieving a 26th individual win.

[Soundbite] Kim Ja-in(Sport Climber) : "I suffered a wrist injury recently, but it has gotten much better and will improve even further before the World Cup."

Continuously serving as a missionary of sport climbing, Kim now has even greater cause for excitement. It's because sport climbing will likely be included as a new formal event in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, along with baseball and karate. As the world champion, Kim can aim for a gold medal, barring any serious injuries.

[Soundbite] Kim Ja-in(Sport Climber) : "The Olympics are a stage that all athletes dream of. I won't be young in 2020, but I plan to work hard until then to participate."

Kim's climbing skills remain as sharp as ever. Step by step, she is climbing even higher toward new records and the summit of her sport.
