Russians showed great interest in tours to South Korea at a travel trade fair held in Moscow. The major areas of attraction included the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games and medical tourism. Let's find out more.

This is the largest travel trade fair held in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. A Russian is enjoying a 3D virtual reality ski jump experience. Ski jump is a sporting event to be held in the PyeongChang Olympic Games.

[Soundbite] Russian College Student : "It is very good. It makes me feel as if I am alpine skiing."

With the PyeongChang Olympics less than a year away, active efforts are being made to promote the 2018 games and attract the attention of Russians who are big fans of winter sports.

[Soundbite] PyeongChang Olympic Ticket Seller : "Russian people show great interest in the PyeongChang Olympic Games. We have been getting a lot of phone calls and inquiries."

Another advantage is the Russian people's great interest in South Korea's advanced medical technologies

[Soundbite] Kim Sergey(Seoul National University Bundang Hospital) : "It is a good opportunity to publicize South Korea's medical technologies that Russians are not aware of, such as robot-assisted surgery or laparoscopic surgery."

South Korea has sent the largest-ever promotional delegation consisting of representatives from five local governments and 17 medical institutions to the fair.
